About the video
A trade show is loud, crowded and lit for the stands, not for the camera. This interview was filmed on the ABB stand during MACH 2026 at the NEC, cutting between the conversation and the cobot itself, so the product is never more than a few seconds off screen.
It was the same show where I photographed the Duke of Edinburgh’s visit: see people I’ve photographed.

My name’s Tom Flude, I’m the co-founder of Engineers Insight, and I’m here on the ABB stand at MACH for the launch of the PoWa cobot from ABB. And what we’re talking about: integration. Interface-wise, comms. Interface comes as standard with PROFINET, PROFIsafe, Ethernet/IP adapter as standard. Again, something that the market is asking for, those interfaces standard, that you don’t need to specify those. And again, what we think is going to be a really competitive price for the mid-range 10 and 13 kilos. Do you want to talk about price? It’s about a 22k list for this. For the 10 kilo payload? The 10 and 13 kilo payload. We think that’s going to be really competitive in the market, and more importantly, it’s got our brand name on it. We stand for quality products that last, products that the customers want to see, so we’re really excited about this new product from the launch today.
