The brief
Moongate is a small plant centre with a personal touch: hand-picked plants, a secret garden full of ideas and a team of horticulturalists who will plan it, plant it and look after it. The redesign puts the garden first.
The build
Page content lives in simple files and a Python script adds the shared header, navigation and footer, so the whole site rebuilds in seconds. Photos are stored in three sizes, so phones download small images and big screens get sharp ones.
Moving off Wix meant every old address had to keep working. Redirects send the old Wix links to the new pages, so the site keeps the Google rankings it already had. The build also writes FAQ and service structured data for search engines.
Opening hours, the notice bar and closed dates each live in one place at the top of a single file, so the owner can change them without touching a page.
